1. Complex Multi-lane Roundabouts
This is the most common place to fail. Examiners will often take you to the busiest local junctions.
Notorious Example: The Hanger Lane Gyratory in London (famed as one of Britain's scariest junctions BBC News).
Common Error: Being in the wrong lane, failing to check the left blind spot when exiting, or causing "undue hesitation."
2. Fast-Paced Dual Carriageways (A-Roads)
Many centres are located near major arteries like the A1 or A406.
Notorious Example: Goodmayes and Barking in London, which have some of the highest failure volumes in the UK EZ Licence.
Common Error: Inadequate speed when merging from slip roads or following too closely at 60-70 mph.
3. Narrow Residential Streets
Examiners use these to test your spatial awareness and "meeting" skills.
Notorious Example: Tottenham or Wood Green, where streets are lined with parked cars Car Leasing Made Simple.
Common Error: Failing to give way to oncoming traffic or misjudging the gap and clipping a wing mirror.
4. Blind Junctions
Common in older urban areas like Norris Green in Liverpool.
